Release your inner Ray Mears and join us for lunch cooked over fires in amazing locations.

Pizzas, hot soups, nettle crisps, hearty stews and fresh cakes can all be prepared and enjoyed using fires started from a single spark and specialy designed kettles, pots and ovens.

Wild cooking lends itself to be included in a canoeing  day – so we can not only transport all the equipment needed, we can get to some secluded islands and beaches for your cooking adventure.

We are also happy to run shelter building, firelighting and wild cooking as a stand alone activity or part of a group activity day.  Whichever you choose – the food we share outdoors will be amongst the most unforgettable ever tasted.

Carla and family – UK – contacted us to organize a Swallows and Amazons canoe day on Coniston Water as part of their holiday in The Lakes District – so we collected them from their holiday cottage and canoed over to Peel Island where we lit a small fire and cooked lunch, before sailing back to shore.

We could not have asked for a more perfect adventure !!

Not only was the whole thing superbly run but it was personal, which was very important for us as we had some specific requests.

Our requests were met not only with no fuss, but our instructor ( Chris ) seemed to go above and beyond to make our day as perfect as possible.

It was obvious that he was not only very experienced, but also very passionate, and it really made a difference.

I cannot emphasise how important it was to receive such a personal service ( such as delicious home cooked food or wearing ‘pirate’ gear ) to our family.”
